Charity Sewing Day – Quilts for Project Linus Join us at She Shed Quilts for a day of giving back to our community! We’ll gather together to sew cozy, comforting quilts for Project Linus, an amazing organization that provides handmade blankets to children in need of love, security, and warmth. Whether you’re a seasoned quilter or just learning, your hands and heart can make a difference. Ways You Can Help: • Volunteer Your Time: Come sew with us, help press fabric, cut pieces, or tie quilts. All skill levels are welcome! • Donate Supplies: Fabric, batting, thread, and sewing notions are always needed and appreciated. • Monetary Contributions: Can’t join in person? Consider a financial donation to help cover the cost of supplies so more quilts can be made. Every stitch brings comfort to a child in need. Let’s fill the day with fabric, friendship, and giving!

“Sew Sweet Dreams: Pillowcase Sewing Class for Kids” Ages: 8+ Duration: 3 hours Skill Level: Beginner – no experience necessary Description: Let’s sew up something cozy and creative! In this beginner-friendly class, kids will learn how to make their very own custom pillowcases from start to finish. Using fun, colorful fabrics, they’ll discover basic sewing skills like pinning, stitching, hemming, and using a sewing machine (with guided supervision). Whether it’s for bedtime, a gift, or a cozy reading nook, each child will go home with a handmade pillowcase that shows off their style and creativity! What We’ll Learn: • Fabric selection and measuring • Straight stitching and hemming techniques • Safe sewing machine use (intro level) What’s Included: All materials (fabric, thread, tools) are provided.
